Death of Jack Watson, 1870.

[Found under: “NU HOU KULOKO.”]

Unusual death.—A hapa haole man died strangely at Waikele, Ewa, on the 18th of April, being that he was the only one at his house, and this house is very far from the settlement. So on that day mentioned, in the early morning, some other person went there and found him dead outside his house; he was 19 feet from his house. His body was black like coal, being that on the 16th he went out bird hunting, and today, a spiritual journey is the last trip he will take. How pitiful; his name was Jack Watson.
