News of the Royal Court
The health of the King these past days has been good, and in the evening of this Wednesday he sailed for Molokai aboard the ship of Captain Thomas B. Hanham [Kapena Hanehama]. Accompanying him was His Excellency J. O. Dominis and His Excellency F. W. Hutchison, just as we stated the other week. They will travel to Molokai, and Maui, and perhaps all the way to the Kanilehua rain of Hilo. God save the King.
His Highness M. Kekuanaoa is in good health, he is at Papakanene. He is exerting himself physically for the Restoration Day of the Hawaiian Nation; as such, his name shall be remembered until the end.
Princess Victoria K. Kaahumanu and the Dowager Queen H. K. Kapakuhaili are in good health. This past Monday, Charles Judd [Kale Kauka], Captain of the Cavalry, requested of Her Highness Kalohelani to allow him the honor of accompanying the Princess on the 31st of July. This was a very joyful matter for the Princess, and we join in the same joy with the Princess in remembering the day on which the sovereignty of our Nation was returned; and we hear the Princess donated a hundred dollars to the banquet on that day.
