So this newspaper would go through the Territory of Hawaii vital statistics and just pull out the Hawaiian people for the “Na Male” and “Na Make” listings – ?
I assume the Chinese, Japanese, and Portuguese-language newspapers would then do the same thing for their readers, while the English papers printed the whole shebang, including people of all races.
