  2. When both the pineapple & tuna packing plants were working, and the wind was JUST RIGHT Bishop Museum was in the cross wind.
    Nothing put you off your lunch like the combo of the smell of fish & pineapple mixed up – neither in a nice nummy receipe. So I can imagine what it was like inside.

    I’ve spoken to several retired cannery folks – ‘like home’ just doesn’t seem to be a memory !
