On the deck of the German ship, “Pricilla” brought a group of Portuguese numbering 120 to populate Hawaii nei, and some of the women bore children. The increase in the population will be in no time.

Was this the ship that also brought the instrument called the “machete” from the Portuguese island Medeira? The ukulele was derived from this instrument thanks to Hawaiian ingenuity.
