More on the death of Agnes Nunehiwalani Kalua, 1899.

A Sad Death.

The Island mail yesterday brought the sad news of the death of Agnes Kalua [Akeneki Nunehiwalani Kalua], only daughter of Judge and Mrs. J. W. Kalua, which occured at Wailuku on the 12th inst.

The deceased was only 24 years of age and had for several months suffered from inflammatory rheumatism. The funeral took place on the 13th inst., and the large attendance showed the high esteem in which the young lady was held on Maui. The pall bearers were, A. N. Kepoikai, John Richardson, W. H. Cornwell, L. M. Baldwin, W. A. McKay, S. E. Kaleikau, Sam Kalama, E. H. Rodgers, Henry Robinson, George Hons, K. Kahaulelio, and Joh Aluli. Reverends Pali and Beckwith officiated.

The parents of the deceased girl have the sincere sympathy of the whole country in their sad bereavement.
