Criticism of hula, 1863.

Hula in Hanapepe.—We heard from S. Papiohuli  of Hanapepe, Kauai, that the area is turning to Hawaiian hula, and all the men and women of the place are doing that idle thing; therefore, we are saddened because of this resurgence of that thing which reinforces laziness in the land.
