Death of Pupuka in Lahaina, 1866.

[Found under: “Na Mea Hou o Lahaina.”]

Man hung himself.—Pupuka hung himself on the 30th of April, and his body was found in his house in the midday of the 2nd of April; his body was found by his daughter because she was puzzled at not seeing him, he being Pupuka; as for his wife, she is in Honolulu with two daughters, and when they hear, they  will be saddened;  this is a year of increased destruction; this is a sign from the Lord.
