Waialua Girls’ Boarding School in danger, 1881.

We regretfully hear that at the end of this year, the teacher, Mrs. Mary E. Green, head of the girls’ school of Waialua, her post as principal of the school, and perhaps the school will be abandoned by the government and others who give it help, but maybe this great loss will result in nothing. We hope some haole women will step forward and provide leadership for this school which will be in a very regretful state next year, and if that happens, they will be saved from the great expenses and burdens for which much effort was exerted for the girls’ school of Hale-Iwa.
