Death of Elizabeth Crowningburg, 1881.

Saddening death.—On the 15th of September past, in the land of the Ulalena Rain, Makawao, taken away by death was Mrs. Elizabeth Crowningburg [Elizabeka Crowninberg], that hapa haole girl who was famous for caring for the smallpox patients at Kahakaaulana. She has left for the land where there is no toil, but her deeds remain as a memorial to her. Aloha wale oia.
