DEATH TAKES JOSEPH KUKAHI

Joseph L. Kukahi, 1141 17th Ave., Kaimuki died at the St. Francis hospital at 12 o’clock last night.

Kukahi was born at Keauhou, North Kona, Hawaii, June 10, 1859, and was 69 years old. He was employed at the local postoffice for a number of years, and retired on pension. Later he was employed as a guard at the territorial prison at Kalihi, under High Sheriff John C. Lane. Owing to ill health, he left that position in November of last year.

His body is at Silva’s. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

Kukahi was a member of the Kamehameha Lodge.
