Death of Emily Hoyt Ballard Dole, 1844.

DEATH.

On the 27th of this past April, the wife of Mr. Dole, the teacher at the boarding school at Punahou. She had complication from childbirth; on Tuesday, she gave birth to a son, and on Saturday at one o’clock in the afternoon, the mother died. How sad for her husband, and the surviving children! But this was God’s doing; it is he who giveth and he who taketh away; blessed be his name. The deceased was a loving woman; she did good deeds, and her death was one of contentment. There are many who cry for her.
