  1. Mahalo for this, and all that you do. Samuel Leialoha White is the son of William Pūnohu White, Native legislator from Lāhainā, co-author of the Queenʻs 1893 constitution, and one of the subjects of my diss work. Members of his family have been actively seeking out information and this is one more bit, although a sad one. The birth announcement of a daughter for Samuel and his wife Emma is followed by a death announcement of the same day of a White baby, on the street that I know them to be living on.

  2. To be clear – cause my prior post wasnʻt ;) – William is the former legislator, constitution author, and subject, not Samuel.
