HAWAIIAN BOARD OF HEALTH.—Some one has asked, what is the meaning of the announcement of the establishment of the above entitled body. The law of 1868 provides for the appointment by the King of three “native born Hawaiians,” to be known as the Hawaiian Board of Health, whose duty it is to examine all natives applying for license to practice medicine, and on the certificate issued by them, it is discretionary with the Minister of the Interior to grant or withhold the license.
