OUR DEARLY BELOVED MAMA, MRS. RUKA PAALUHI, HAS PASSED ON.
At Punahou on the 19th of November, 1908, the Heavenly Father kindly took our dearly beloved mama, Mrs. Ruth Paaluhi, and she was seventy years old.
Her sands of birth was Kaipapau in Koolauloa, and she gave birth to three children, those are us who are living; there’s one daughter. She was a member of Kawaiahao Church, and was a caretaker of a meetinghouse for Manoa, and her job entailed cleaning the grounds of that building, and it was because she grew weak that she returned home, and for ten days she was sick and then left us mourning her from this side.
We are encouraged by her words. At the house of Her Father, there are many places to live. We give our full appreciation to all those who cooperated with lei flowers and bouquets for our beloved, and to all those who accompanied our beloved mother on her final journey.
