In praise of Edward Waiaholo, 1915.

LABORERS ARE GIVEN LIFE BY YOU

HON. EDWARD WAIAHOLO.

O Hawaiians, from the gleaming of the sum at Kumukahi on Hawaii all the way to the the setting of the sun at Lehua, May it please you:—Here is something precious for which you, the lahui, can take pride in, and  you O Hawaii, Oahu, and Kauai will remove your hats and give a nod of thanks to the one whose picture is above, that being the Honorable one of Lahaina, Maui, and Territory of Hawaii; the Hon. Edward Waiaholo.

He is the father of Bill Number 4 of the House of Representatives pertaining to the raising and increasing of the salary of the makaainana who toil on the road, and perhaps different amongst our counties, that being a dollar and a half minimum with no upward cap.

The two houses gave their approval and so too did the Governor, therefore the bill passed and authorized, and it will be enforced soon by the board of supervisors of the counties all over the Territory.

O Maui of Kamalalawalu, be proud; there is none like you; the motto you answer to is fitting and true, “Maui is the Best.”

Maui, you are given life through your son, a son who remembers his parents, and who sincerely loves them. O Maui of Kama, we all have life because of your son, and we all are proud of your son, he being the one through which our bones will live!

Do not neglect him in the least, O Maui, your son, the Hon. Ed. Waiaholo, should he ask once again this coming season to vote for him in unison. You, O Hawaii, Oahu, and Kauai, what is your gift to that precious one of Maui of Kama, the father who increased the well being of the workers in the counties all over the Territory of Hawaii?

This is it: Let him be the candidate for all of us around the Territory, should he ask, and of what he asks for. Truly yours,

SUPPORTER.
