DEATHS IN EWA.

The Census Taker [Luna Helu] has reported of those who died from small pox [mai puupuu liilii] in Ewa, and Waianae; thus. The number of deaths here in  Ewa is 1,214, in Waianae, 170. The deaths in Ewa are a fraction, while the deaths inn Waianae are the greatest. I will tell of the deaths from each of the ahupuaa so that it is clear. At Halawa 53, at Aiea 21, at Kalauao 97, at Waimalu 102, at Waiau 27, at Waimano 53, at the two Manana 97, at Waiawa 42, at Waipio 183, at Waikele 158, at Hoaeae 63, at Honouliuli 288, at Puuloa 31, at Waianae 170. Total 1,384.
