Bishop Hall as it stands today, 2013.

Here is Bishop Hall today on the campus of the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum. Although it is not open to the public, you still can see the beautiful stone facade! Please consider a membership at the Museum, and support a good cause. The Bishop Museum cares for one of the largest collections of Hawaiian-Language Newspapers in its archives!!

  1. Comparing the old picture of Bishop Hall to the modern one, you can see that it mostly remains the same today. The kiawe tree seen in the drawing is still there and is visible in the photo, although it’s much larger – naturally.

However, the dome atop the cylindrical part of the building is gone.

Someday, Bishop Hall will be restored, but for now it’s not currently in use. It was the original classroom building of the Kamehameha School for Boys.
