THE AHAHUI KAMEHAMEHA SECURES THE BIRTHPLACE OF KUHIO
From the Advertiser bureau on Kauai we received news that clarifies a memo from the Ahahui Kaumualii to that office, the branch of the Ahahui Kamehameha on Kauai, pertaining to the agreement by the board of directors of the McBryde Sugar Company to sell to that association the place where Prince Kuhio was born at Koloa, Kauai.
According to the agreement done between the association and the McBryde Sugar Company, the association would not sell or in any way transfer that property to another entity, and should the association be dissolved, the land is to revert back to the McBryde Sugar Plantation.
The area of land given was a kuleana that is five acres; what was great was that there was no price put on those acres of land, it was as if it was given to the association. This is what the Ahahui Kamehameha desired, and that wish is what was fulfilled.
