[Found under: “NU HOU KULOKO: Oahu.”]

Travelled to Waikapu.—In the evening of this past Monday, C. P. Ward (Kapepee), the Supervisor of the Government Warehouses [Luna Hale Papaa o ke Aupuni], and his family, left to enjoy the shady valleys of na Wai-eha [Wailuku, Waikapu, Waiehu and Waihee], and it is beneath the Holouna winds [?? na makani Holouna] where he will linger. He took along his horse carriage and his beautiful bay horse.

  1. Aloha — I am so grateful for this post about C.P. Ward and his family. I am a direct descendant of the Wards, and it is wonderful to hear about them. Thank you for the wonderful service you provide for us.

    With aloha,
