On Friday the 19th of March, fire burned near Kahului kai and on the 20th and 21st, the fire burned greatly.
The house of Queen Emma in the uplands of Waiaha, Kona, Hawaii was destroyed, and the fire consumed the fields of coffee, breadfruit, and the other crops of the Hawaiians. The area destroyed by fire is perhaps about 1000 acres.
