E aha ia ana o Maunakea,
Kuahiwi alo pu me ke kehau,
Alawa iho au o Maunaloa,
Kohu moa ua kea i ka malie,
Ku aku au mahalo o ka nani,
Ka haale a ka wai hu’i a ka manu,
Mahui aku au e ike lihi,
I ka uahi noe o Kilauea,
Ea mai nei Halemaumau,
Enaena ke ahi a ka wahine,
He wahine kui pua no Olaa,
I hoa hooipo no ka malanai.”
