ARCHIE KAHELE
Republican candidate for the house, fifth district.
Archie E. Kahele, Republican candidate for the house, was born at Hauula, windward Oahu, Oct. 26, 1889. Received his early education in the Hauula public school. In 1899 entered the old Royal school under the instruction of Mr. McKintosh and four years later attended the Territorial Normal and training school.
In 1908 he was appointed a teacher for the Pahala school, Kau, Hawaii, and in 1910, transferred to the Hana school, Maui, resigning in 1912 to work in a law office.
In 1917 and 1918 served on the jury and on several occasions acted as foreman.
At present Mr. Kahele is in the realty and abstracting business.
