I ike mai ai Amerika,
I ko la nui hao a paihi.
Hea aku makou o mai oe,
O oe ka Elele ola Hawaii.

You are like lightning,
A testifying telegraph.
The Delegate recognized by the realm of po,
The heavens and earth give recognition.
You have conquered all the islands,
For the good of your fellow makaainana.
Righteousness is held steadfast in your palm,
So Hawaii does not falter.
May your flag be raised up high,
The seas of the Pacific.
So that America is witness to,
Your big day, dressed in your best.
We call out to you, answer us,
You are the Delegate by which Hawaii will live.
Tell of the one for whom is this adornment,
