Octopus dead because of flood, 1915.

Because of there being so much water in the Wailua Wailuku River, and this water running down here into Hilo Bay, there are a lot of octopus that have died because of the fresh water, and some of us have been sustained because of the octopus washing ashore.

[Does anyone remember this happening in their lifetime?]
