We notice in Mr. Montano’s window a large-sized full length portrait of H. M. Queen Emma. The likeness is good and the attitude and bearing truly Queenly. Those who can remember, as we do, the graceful entertainments given by H. M. Kamehameha IV, must remember too, the dignified manner and cheerful affability of the Royal Host and Hostess. Mr. Montano has also a three-quarter length-size photograph of Her Majesty. These pictures tend to carry us back to old times, when reading parties, musical parties, and meetings for the promotion of charitable purpose were begun and carried out under the leadership of the King and his estimable consort.
