    • I am also a direct decendant of John E. Bush, and while the history is interesting let’s not forget that he was also a very prominent figure in the overthrow and annexation of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Which means our family legacy is partially to blame for the loss and dismantelmemt of Hawaiian culture. I am lucky enough to be mixed with Kanaka Maoli genetics as well, so I find myself battling with how to feel about the dichotomy of my genetic line. It’s good to meet you Cuz.
