MAN JUMPED OFF CLIFF.
On the 6th of this month, the Superintendent [Luna Nui] of the Colony of Kalawao received news that a man named Paele jumped off the cliff on the previous 5th. This man went to cut firewood on the Iliilikaa Cliff at Kalaupapa on the 5th of this month. And the people of the house were puzzled that he did not return that night. The following day, his dead body was found at the base of the Iliilikaa Cliff by Kaluna and Kawahauila, and the two of them returned the body of that man to the house. The Superintendent performed an Autopsy [aha Koronero] on the body. And these were the members of the Coronary Jury: Mahiai Kahikina, Mokuhau, William Inaina, Painamu, Mekulama, Kaulana, and M. Makakoa was the Secretary, and W. H. Tell was the Coroner.

On the 6th of April, T. A. Nahinu [G. S. Nahinu], the new representative of Molokai, came into Kalaupapa nei, and into a church, and atop the place of the Board of Health, without approval from the Board of Health.
