Cogswell offers portraits of King Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani to the government, 1892.

The painter Mr. Cogswell sent a letter to each of the members of the Legislature whether it is a good thing for the government to purchase the large portraits of the deceased King as well as the ruling Queen, as decoration for the Palace. If the Members want to see the portraits for themselves, they can at all times.
