DEATH.

Isaia Kaaoaohema, an alii of Hawaii nei, died recently on the 25th of October. He was 56 years old.

He lived in ignorance, and as an idol worshiper of the times of old, and when the word of God arrived, he turned to Christianity, and he looked to the written word, and frequently asked questions of his teacher, Bingham [Binamu], until he understood; he was baptized in the name of the trinity, on the 20th of September 1829. He was a brethren for 15 years, and he died. He died of paralysis; it was a quick death.
