Aloha, Note that the lyrics are out of order in this version on verses 3 and 4. EKP wrote repeatedly to the papers to get it corrected and it was published out of order several times. Even the copy in Buke Mele Lahui shuffled the lines. It was probably easy for that to happen when typesetting poetry. Puakea

I’ve personally not seen Ellen Prendergast’s corrections written in the newspapers, but it is interesting here to note that Leo o ka Lahui insists that the following is a true copy of the mele received from Kekoaohiwaikalani herself.
