Hawaii nei was a place that the mosquito was not seen before. But in the year 1826, there was seen a great many whaling ships arriving. From Mexico there was a ship called Welinekona [Welington] that visited Lahaina, Maui. It was those people who brought this evil one and spread it here in Hawaii.
