In the early morning of Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 5:45 p. m. [? a. m.], Mrs. Lono Kahakauila grew weary of this life at her home at Keononalu, Wailuanui, Maui; and she left behind her remains for the family and the friends to grieve over on this side of the dark river of death [ka muliwai eleele o ka make].
