Ready to Produce Poi

I recently built a Poi Factory for Myself, and am ready and am steaming taro. My poi is six pounds for a quarter. Those people who want to pick up poi however should bring a bag to put the poi in.

My taro comes from Pauoa, a land of delicious poi. All those who want poi are invited to leave their poi orders on the day prior to when they want it so that I know how much taro I need to cook so that there is enough for the desired poi.

Signs of the Flu.

These are the signs of the Flu: a headache, sore throat, red eyes and muscle aches, but the back has the most pain. Sometimes, the pain is not severe and other times it is; and after three days of this then it begins to get better. These signs of the flu are not harmful to a person, but what is harmful is coming down with pneumonia after the Flu; and three days pass by and the person feels a little better and he thinks he is cured, and goes about outside and that is when pneumonia strikes. The only way a person will not get pneumonia is by laying down quietly and keeping warm and eating appropriate foods. You should not eat beef and fish; tea and coffee [??? ume kapa]. Jonah Kumalae gets contract to supply 250 ukulele per month, 1915.

HIGH DEMAND FOR UKULELE.

From the news heard from San Francisco, the stringed instrument, the ukulele, is greatly desired all over America because thousands of visitors at the exposition at San Francisco saw and heard for themselves the ukulele being played.

Jonah Kumalae earlier had a contract to supply two hundred fifty ukulele a month to a company selling the musical instruments in San Francisco, but now the number has been increased to five hundred ukulele per month.

Because some people really wanted to see an ukulele being played, they requested to be taught to play that stringed instrument, and Kailimai was the one who provided instruction to some people. Continue reading
